Macadamia Nuts

Macadamia Nuts

Macadamia Nuts

have a subtle taste, with a butter-like flavor and a creamy texture.
Macadamia Nuts are original to Australia, but nowadays you can find macadamia trees all over the world. Places like Hawaii, Costa Rica, New Zealand, and Thailand are growing Macadamia in large volumes.

Nuts great for your Health

Like most other nuts, macadamia nuts are rich in nutrients and beneficial plant compounds. They help improve digestion, heart health, weight management, and blood sugar control.
Basically, Macadamia is low in carbs and sugar and has moderate fiber content.

This combination makes them unlikely to spike your blood sugar levels, which may be super beneficial for people with diabetes!

Like other products, we like to present to you the health and benefits of macadamia nuts.

The 10 Benefits of Macadamia Nuts:

  1. Rich in nutrients; Macadamia nuts are calorie-rich nuts and high in healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals.
  2. Loaded with antioxidants; Antioxidants neutralize free radicals, which are unstable molecules known to cause cellular damage and increase risks of conditions like diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and heart disease.
  3. May Boost Heart Health; Macadamia nuts may lower your risk of heart disease. Various studies suggest that eating 8–42 grams of Macadamia Nuts daily can lower total and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels by up to 10%.
  4. May reduce your risk of metabolic syndrome; Eating macadamia nuts (like other nuts), may reduce your risk of metabolic syndrome and contribute to lower, more stable blood sugar levels. Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of risk factors, including high blood sugar and cholesterol levels, that raise your risk of stroke, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes.
  5. May aid Weight Loss; Macadamia nuts may reduce hunger and promote feelings of fullness, which can benefit weight loss. They may also provide fewer calories than previously believed.
  6. Improve Gut Health; The soluble fiber in macadamia nuts aids your digestion by feeding your beneficial gut bacteria. This can improve your gut health.
  7. Providing Anti Cancer Properties; contain flavonoids and tocotrienol, plant compounds that test-tube studies show may help fight or kill cancer cells.
  8. Boosting Brain Health; the same tocotrienol may also protect brain cells from conditions like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, of which studies are still ongoing.
  9. Bumping up your Longevity; Eating nuts regularly, and thus macadamias, may help cut your risk of dying prematurely by around one-third.
  10. Easy to add to your diet; You can snack on whole macadamia nuts, grind and sprinkle them onto soups and warm dishes, or swap them for croutons in salads.

General Info:

Raw macadamias are the healthiest form of eating Macadamias, but since we see the dry-roasted macadamia the most, and people don’t really have the time to roast the macadamia themselves, it is probably the best choice. Although you can eat raw macadamia as well…

You can snack on whole nuts, grind and sprinkle them onto soups and warm dishes, or swap them for croutons in salads. Macadamia butter is another way to enjoy this nut and can be spread on bread and crackers like peanut butter.

When you soak and ground macadamias into a paste, you make dairy-free cheese or milk, which is also a perfect base for various desserts.
And when you store macadamias in an airtight container, you can keep them at room temperature up to five months and when kept in the fridge, they stay fresh up to a year!!
